Other Services Balunu Delivers
Through the delivery of youth and family healing programs, Balunu provides the following services in the pre and post camp follow up and as requested by Darwin’s indigenous community:
- Support youth through police liaison, legal and court support;
- Support youth re engagement with education providers(schools and TAFE) and encouraging increased school attendance;
- Support families through family court orders and legal matters;
- Support prison inmates at Berrimah gaol with healing sessions provided at the gaol;
- Support youth detained at Don Dale Juvenile Centre with healing sessions provided at the centre;
- Support for youth to find crisis accommodation;
- Support with applications for assistance to Centrelink;
- Support to prepare for employment, develop resumes, training;
Through the delivery of these ancillary services, Balunu has developed collaborative partnerships and a cross referral system with the following organisations and professional service providers:
